The Addiction Prevention Authority has run a program called Health is Movement for many years, which offers the community the opportunity to participate in tae-bo and combat fitness classes.
These activities, led by trained professionals, are aimed at strengthening the physical and emotional well-being of citizens, as well as encouraging the adoption of healthy habits through exercise.
Tae-bo, a discipline that combines taekwondo and boxing, is taught by Professor Antonio Perez and takes place in two different locations. Those who wish can go to CEF No. 1 at Villa Cabello on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 08:15. In addition, classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm at the Santa Rita Free Trade Fair.
On the other hand, Combat Fitness classes, an innovative offering that combines martial arts movements and positions with physical exercise, are taught by Prof. Liliana Ramirez at IMeFIR from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday and Wednesday. Classes are also held in the Plaza de Villa Urquiza from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, allowing for greater decentralization of the sports offering.
The main goal of the Salud es Movimiento program is to provide an alternative to physical activity that promotes not only physical well-being, but also emotional well-being and fun. Both disciplines, tae-bo and martial fitness, have been shown to be beneficial for both cardiovascular health and tension and stress relief.
The initiative has been well received by the community as it offers a unique opportunity to improve physical and mental health while promoting addiction prevention by promoting a healthy lifestyle through exercise and physical activity.
The Health is Movement program is a great opportunity for citizens to improve their quality of life and well-being through physical and sports activities that promote fun and healthy coexistence.
