For many years, the deans have proposed to transfer to the faculties a place selection system similar to the one that allows the allocation of specialties after the MIR exam, so that students know from the first moment whether they can enter the medical faculty and which university.

In order to somehow speed up enrollment, this year the government of Castile and León agreed with the universities of Salamanca and Valladolid to postpone the third and final list of admissions to a degree with limited places that were previously issued in September to July. It’s too early to tell if the measure has worked, as dean charro pointed out, we’ll have to wait until September to see what happens when universities in other Autonomous Communities release their enrollment lists. “So far so good, but we will see if there will be resignations at the beginning of September,” comments José Carretero and adds that on September 5 they will definitely submit an “appeal” to fill the vacancies among the students who applied should be on the waiting list .
