Hostess Snacks Are Going to Look a Little Different in 2025

When you go to the store to get your favorite candy, keep in mind that it may not look the same.

Hostess said Thursday that its more than 100-year-old brand will be getting a new look with a new name and packaging. These sweets have been around for a long time: Hostess Donettes, Twinkies, Cupcakes, and Ding Dongs. The new logo will give them a more “modernized” look and feel. No doubt that all of this is done to appeal to younger people, but people of a certain age also like things to change.

Michael Balach, vice president of marketing at The J.M. Smucker Co., told Food & Wine, “The launch of the new logo and packaging design is an exciting way to start the next chapter for this great brand and introduce ourselves to new fans.” „When we talk to customers about the brand, they always say how happy it makes them. For this project, we wanted to celebrate the unique feeling of having a favorite Hostess treat.

The company also said that the new logo still has its trademark heart, which is meant to show that its “core values remain firmly intact.” But now it has a “playful font style and a brighter color palette,” which includes a font that looks more like bubbles and a red that is a bit brighter to stand out on store shelves full of snacks. “The refreshed logo design also includes a new cloud-shaped border celebrating the light and airy quality of every Hostess snack,” it said.

You’ll know what you’re getting into before you buy because the packaging has new pictures and details of the products. This isn’t a coincidence; the company did a lot of testing with customers to find out exactly what you want.

“At Hostess, we talk about how we are made, not manufactured, and how each snack we bake is unique. That spirit was at the heart of the new presentation,” Aundrea Graver, director of marketing at The J.M. Smucker Co., said. “One of my favorite things about my job is the little ‘easter eggs’ we hide in the way we present the product brands.” We used the power of the Hostess parent brand to highlight what makes each of our sweet-baked snacks unique, and we were able to do that.

This is just the start. The company says that more updates are on the way, so keep an eye out for everything new.
