SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was hospitalized due to health complications, according to a Church statement.
The report said that Holland is currently hospitalized for observation and treatment for ongoing health complications.
“Elder Holland is grateful for the many prayers offered on his behalf in recent weeks for his health and at this time of mourning. He sincerely appreciates the good wishes and kindness shown by friends and members of the Church who know and care for him and his family,” the statement said.
The elder’s wife, Patricia Terry Holland, also died last week of health complications at age 81.
